  This place consistently has the best food and service in the Springfield area. Whether it's the burger, the soup, or the Shepard's Pie you won't leave hungry or feel like you over paid.

  Maybe this was a bad night...I'm not quite sure what I can say to alleviate the pain, lol.
  
  First of all, we got to the Diner at 2:30am. Within 5 minutes of being there, there was an argument between a waitress and a customer and their request of silverware that they never received.
  
  To make the long story short, we left the Diner at 4:30am! Not only did they forget silverware, our waters, and an order. Their response showed little sympathy.
  
  1. Old chicken
  2. Barely cooked eggs
  3. Strips of what appeared to be soggy shrewd  bacon. Wtf!!?
  4. A request for a well done burger arrived rare
  5. We asked for honey mustard that never came until the check came.
  6. A cold Belgium waffle. Was this ever even toasted?? I just got an ego.
  
  I'm at a loss for words. Truly disappointed. This place needs to shut down.

  To start, I give kudos to any establishment/restaurant (especially) that is open 24 hours a day. I couldn't do it.
  
  Neither me nor my friend had ever been here, yet we'd driven by hundreds of times, living a few towns over.
  
  Walking in, I loved it. I love 50s feel places and this is definitely one. Review would have been 3 starts but how the 50s are brought back, bumped it up to 4 stars in my book. There's a giant jukebox in the middle of the place, I'm not sure if it's a working one because I didn't, nor did anyone else there try to use it.
  
  I ordered the New York styled Reuben sandwich with an upcharged side of onion rings. The onion rings themselves were pretty yummy. A couple were real heavy but overall good. The sandwich wasn't bad. To be quite honest it was the first time I'd tried one, and I'm not sure what possessed me to order it. I wouldn't order it again over other things on the menu but hey, least I can say I tried!
  
  The breakfast for dinner wasn't mine-- but I did try the kielbasa. It wasn't actually that bad! However the waffle.... now I was told the waffle was good, and they ate all of it. But $6.00 for a Belgian waffle?? That seems crazy to me for a single waffle.
  
  I'd probably go back here for a late night dessert bite at least one more time! I've got to try the brownie sundae on the menu!

  I can never complain when I come here. Cake and eggs majority of the time is what I order. I enjoy their daily specials menu too. Everything is well priced for your convenience.
  
  Being open 24/7 is always a plus, especially when working nights. Service is typically quick, breakfast usually is though.
  
  I also enjoy the small talk with the truck drivers. Makes for an entertaining time. It is also fun to come when the bars are closed and you have the late night critters looking for some grub.
  
  Easy to get to, right off the pike at the 291 exit. Plenty of parking.
  
  I've given up on the IHops and Dennys of the world. This is my go to place for late night breakfast. It's nothing fancy but a place I would recommend coming to if you are hungry and not much is still open.
